Why is it better to buy a real Christmas tree?

Because there is no substitute for the lush colour and pleasant aroma of a Real tree.

NEEDLEFRESH trees have been carefully harvested, by responsible growers, who will replace the tree with at least two baby tree replacements, either at the same site or nearby.

Our growers will spend up to 12 years growing, pruning and fertilizing each tree to ensure you can buy a Fresh - Healthy - Attractive tree, it’s a labour of love.

There are a number of different species, which are planted to ultimately give you a real choice when buying. Seeing a field of Christmas trees you will notice, that unlike other crops every tree is different. It is your choice as to what type you pick and it makes your tree unique!

Whilst growing there are many factors that influence a trees growth; Soil type, drainage, rainfall, and even height above sea level! The grower also has to protect it from pests and diseases. The plantations provide a perfect habitat for many birds and animals - but the grower has be careful they can also damage their precious crop. WHY NEEDLEFRESH?, Back in 1996 a group of dedicated growers, who were interested in improving Christmas tree growing, came together to form NEEDLEFESH. The aim was to supply the best possible quality, fresh to the customer direct from the Grower. Needlefresh trees are never wholesaled but cut packed and delivered direct to the retail outlet, within 4 days of harvesting.

This year Needlefresh are introducing a new service. WHERE WAS MY TREE GROWN. Embracing the internet - we can now show you the actual area where their tree was planted and was grown for the last few years. Look for our unique tree number, which is on the NEEDLEFRESH Quality label. This allows us to trace each tree right back to the place it was grown!

Where to buy your Tree

The Traditional Christmas Trees, as supplied to the British market, are grown throughout Europe. As a general rule the shorter distant the tree travels, without cold storage, the fresher and brighter it will be for you to enjoy over the festival period. At Needlefesh we supply our retailers DIRECT, cutting the time in transit to a minimum and shortening the period from cutting in the fields to appearing in your home. This attention to detail is one of the reasons we hold such a high reputation amongst our retailers and customers.

It will show you which types of tree they stock and their contact numbers. You will be able to contact the stockist and order or visit and pick your tree. If by chance they do not have the type of tree you require.
